Ella Purnell says fans of To fall will see a shocking new side of Lucy MacLean in season 2.

“I couldn’t believe it. I felt so outrageous. Coming from any other character, you’d be like, ‘Yeah, it’s just Fallout,’ but being Lucy, it’s outrageous. I couldn’t believe it. It’s like when you’re like a little sister who goes out and gets a little crazy, it’s crazy,” she said.

“It’s a lot of fun to see this side of her, to play this side of her, and also, a new experience for me. I haven’t done a lot of things in my career. I didn’t know how it was going to go. It went well, thank God, I think.”

Lucy’s violent change occurs after she receives a life-saving Buffout steroid infusion following a near-death experience in the previous episode. Under the influence of drugs, his usual moral compass disappears, leading to a deadly – ​​and comical – killing spree.

“But yeah, it’s a lot of fun to play a side of Lucy that’s not afraid of anything for once,” Purnell added. “But playing a character who really doesn’t understand the concept of death for just five minutes of the day… it changes the whole tension of the scene… and I get to play with some comedy in that, it was really fun.”

Purnell also addressed the switch between Lucy and her other role, serial killer Rhiannon Lewis in Sweetpea.
