Steve Kerr went scorched earth regarding the shooting of a Minnesota agitator by an ICE agent, even calling it “murder,” after his game Friday night.
The Golden State Warriors took care of business against the Sacramento Kings, 137-103, but the news was top of mind for the Warriors head coach after the game.
Kerr, who has long supported Democratic politicians and policies and opposed Republican policies, criticized “law enforcement officers” and the government for the events that occurred and led to the death of Renee Good at the age of 37.

“It’s truly shameful that in our country we can have law enforcement officers who commit murder and seem to get away with it. It’s shameful that the government can lie about what happened when there is video and witnesses who have all come out and disputed what the government is saying,” Kerr said.
“So it’s very demoralizing, devastating to lose someone’s life, especially in this way. So it’s terrible, terribly sad for her family, for her and for this city.”
Kerr also praised the Minnesota Timberwolves for observing a moment of silence for good.

Good was killed while driving a vehicle that officers ordered her to get out of, according to the Department of Homeland Security secretary. Kristi Noem. Good, according to Noem, refused and “attempted to run them over and ram them with his vehicle.”
During the Timberwolves’ moment of silence, a fan in attendance shouted, “Go home, ICE.” Another shouted “F— ICE” and cheers erupted.
Noem said Good’s actions against ICE agents before the shooting amounted to a “act of domestic terrorism”.
“One of our officers acted quickly and defensively, shooting to protect himself and those around him,” she said.
Good was a Minneapolis-based anti-immigration activist and member of “ICE Watch,” DHS sources told PK Press Club. DHS sources told PK Press Club the group aims to monitor, track, interfere and oppose ongoing federal immigration enforcement operations. The group has a presence in several sanctuary cities across the country.
According to DHS, Good followed federal ICE agents to two other locations before the shooting and was block the road to interfere with continued law enforcement in the area.

The shooting fueled new protests in the Twin Cities amid a recent ramp-up of the ICE activity in the region as part of the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration.
Last year, Kerr wore a Harvard basketball jersey to “stand up to the bully” after President Donald Trump announced a funding freeze to the school due to anti-Semitism on campus.
