As NFL fans vented their opinions on social media, head referee Bill Vinovich was seen heading to the Bills bench to speak to Allen. This happened just after the penalty was missed.
“I wasn’t happy with what was happening, and I was yelling a little bit, and he said, ‘Don’t scream.’ So it’s bad, sorry,” Allen said of the postgame interaction, via Pro Football Talk.
Fortunately, the missed call didn’t affect the game too much.

“I don’t think there’s one thing over another. We just wanted to go out and execute well,” Allen said. “At the end of the day, we just wanted to play our best football, and I feel like we did that today.”
Buffalo advanced to the divisional round for the fifth straight season. The Bills will face the Baltimore Ravens in a matchup between two NFL MVP favorites – Allen and Lamar Jackson.

“This is what everyone was waiting for, right?” » said Bills head coach Sean McDermott. “So it’s going to be a great week and everyone will be looking forward to it, and they’re a great football team. I mean, they handled us pretty well in the first round, and they’re certainly playing well.”
