The hottest commodity in the NFL head coaching market is said to be very selective about who he interviews.

John Harbaugh told Fox Sports on Saturday that he would narrow down the list of teams he would meet to just three or four. There are currently eight NFL teams looking for head coaches, and Harbaugh is considered by far the best candidate this cycle.

President Donald Trump used social media to encourage the New York Giants to hire Harbaugh “without a doubt” as their next head coach.

“THE New York Soccer Giants should hire, without a doubt, John Harbaugh – and John, a great guy, should TAKE THE JOB!!!,” Trump posted on Truth Social on Saturday.

This is the second time in recent days that Trump has posted comments on social media about Harbaugh, as he called him on Wednesday Baltimore Ravens result in a total winner.

“HIRING JOHN HARBAUGH, QUICKLY,” the president wrote in a Truth Social article Wednesday morning. “HE AND HIS BROTHER ARE TOTAL WINNERS!!!”

Veteran sports agent Leigh Steinberg believes John Harbaugh recent availability as an NFL head coach is comparable to that of Bill Belichick.

Steinberg told PK Press Club Digital in a recent interview that Harbaugh is by far the best candidate for the eight teams currently with head coaching vacancies.

“He’s going to be the hottest free agent coach in years,” Steinberg said. “He’s the perfect rookie for several teams this year, which will give him a lot of leverage.”

The Ravens fired Harbaugh in stunning fashion on Tuesday, ending a highly successful 18-season streak. The team won six AFC North titles, appeared in four AFC championship games and won a Super Bowl under the 63-year-old’s leadership.

The Ravens finished 8-9 and missed the playoffs in heartbreaking fashion, as kicker Tyler Loop’s game-winning field goal attempt sailed wide right. After a disappointing season, Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti fired Harbaugh.

Harbaugh is coming off an 18-year tenure with the Baltimore Ravens that included a victory in Super Bowl XLVII, 12 playoff appearances, four AFC championship games, six division titles, the most wins in franchise history (over 193 total, 180 in the regular season) and just three losing seasons in 18 years.
