CTD kills six terrorists in targeted operations

PESHAWAR:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa CTD carried out two successful intelligence-based operations in Peshawar and Khyber, killing six “highly wanted” terrorists linked to Fitna al-Khawarij, while several of their accomplices managed to escape.

According to police, the first targeted operation was carried out on the outskirts of Peshawar, in the Tipu Sano Bacha cemetery area near Zahir Ghari, after confirmed intelligence reports.

A CTD ambush team attacked the terrorists, killing three of them on the spot. However, many of their associates fled, taking advantage of nearby residential areas.

The second operation was carried out at Jamrud in Naqa Kalle area adjacent to Shah Kas Bypass Road, where terrorists were allegedly planning a coordinated attack on the police.

CTD personnel thwarted the plan, killing three more terrorists.
