Saddle up, TV fans, because PoniesPeacock’s upcoming spy thriller series, is almost here.
Set in the 1970s, it stars Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Haley Lu Richardson (The White Lotus) like Bea and Twila, who work as secretaries at the American embassy in Moscow. However, when their husbands are killed under mysterious circumstances, Bea and Twila challenge their superiors to go undercover and uncover the truth. Long story short: espionage-based hijackings ensue.
Sound fun to you? You’ll want to know when it’s coming out and where you can watch it. Below I’ve rounded up all the key details you need to know Ponies – so go ahead, gallop to find out more!
What is the Ponies release date and launch time?
Ponies will debut on Thursday January 15 in North and South America. Viewers living on other continents will have to tune in a day later – Friday, January 16 – to watch it. According to the official Peacock blog, its eight episodes will also be released simultaneously on launch day.
As for the launch time, it depends on the release day of this new Peacock TV Original. Considering Ponies will be released this Thursday evening, I predict its first chapter will air at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET. It was at the same time that The traitors season 4 premiered on Peacock last Thursday (January 8), so there’s no reason to suspect that Ponies will not do the same thing.
If the release times mentioned above are correct, here’s when Ponies episode 1 will be released where you live:
- WE – Thursday, January 15 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET
- Canada – Thursday, January 15 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET
- India – Friday, January 16 at 7:30 a.m. IST
- Australia – Friday January 16 at 1 p.m. AEDT
- New Zealand – Friday January 16 at 3 p.m. NZDT
Where can I watch Ponies?
If it wasn’t clear by now, Ponies will be available on Peacock, aka one of the best streaming services in the world.
Don’t worry if Peacock hasn’t launched in the country you reside in, because it’s coming to a number of other streaming platforms as well. Here’s where you can stream it:
- WE – Peacock
- Canada – Showcase
- India – JioHotstar
- Australia – Foxtel/Binge
- New Zealand – TVNZ+
Why can’t I watch Ponies in the UK?
If it wasn’t already obvious, there is a distinct lack of information on when and where Ponies can be released on UK shores.
Usually, Peacock is broadcast on Sky and Now TV in the UK. Considering other Peacock TV originals including The Day of the Jackal, TedAnd The paper, created on these platforms, it is a safe bet that Ponies will do the same.
There are some caveats, however. On the one hand, season 2 of Twisted metal – one of Peacock’s biggest TV hits – launched on Paramount+ in the UK. Meanwhile, another Peacock spy thriller in The Copenhagen test is not expected on British shores until early 2026. It has been available on the NBCUniversal streamer since December 27, 2025.
So when will Ponies going out in the UK? At the time of publication, it is not officially known when UK viewers will be able to watch it or on which platform(s) it will be broadcast. It’s not on Sky’s release list for January 2026, so Ponies will certainly not arrive at the same time as in other countries.
Once I know more about a UK release date I will update this section. At the moment we do not know when Ponies will fall on British shores.
