Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s expulsion from Royal Lodge is officially underway.
According to The Sunmoving trucks were seen arriving at the disgraced prince’s longtime home in Windsor on Wednesday morning (January 14). Photographs shared by the outlet showed a white truck driving through the gates of the Royal Lodge around 10:30 a.m. They were seen leaving after three hours.
The outlet previously reported that the former Duke of York could hand over the property before his 66th birthday in February. Some sources suggest he could be out by the end of the month.
As the move gathers pace, preparations for Andrew’s next residence are well underway. Renovations are currently underway at Marsh Farm in Sandringham, where he is expected to spend his years in exile. Until work is completed on his new home, Andrew will be temporarily staying at a small property in Sandringham until Easter.
Despite progress, the downgrade is significant. A source told the outlet: “Snow or rain haven’t delayed work at Marsh Farm, but it still needs a lot of attention to make it habitable. But one thing is for sure, it’s much, much smaller and less luxurious than Royal Lodge.”
Andrew has been stripped of his titles as prince and duke amid renewed scrutiny over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. He also returned his 75-year lease after calling Royal Lodge home since 2004.
