Matt Damon may be one of the most famous men in Hollywood, but at home he’s still just “Dad.”
His daughter Gia took care to remind him of this during a rare family outing.
The Oscar winner stepped out with his wife Luciana Barroso and their four daughters (Alexia, 26, Isabella, 19, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15) for the New York premiere of his new Netflix film. The tearwith his longtime friend Ben Affleck.
While the family’s close-knit appearance was already making headlines, it was Gia’s playful move that stole the show.
On camera, Gia made fun of her father’s awkward pose on the red carpet.
She teased her father: “Why are you standing like that?” before imitating his hunched pose.
Damon mocked the roast by exaggerating the posture himself and smiling at photographers.
This joyous exchange quickly became one of the most talked about moments of the evening.
The outing marked Isabella, Gia and Stella’s first red carpet with their father since July 2024.

Damon’s eldest stepdaughter Alexia also attended the red carpet, posing alongside her parents and sister Isabella.
Damon has often spoken of the joy of fatherhood.
In previous interviews, he has described becoming Alexia’s stepfather as a life change, comparing the feeling to the Grinch’s heart growing “five times bigger.”
In 2019, he even tattooed the names of his four daughters on his arm as well as a tribute to Luciana.
