The statement further said that Additional Justice Raja Ghazanfar Ali Khan was not confirmed, while the tenure of Additional Justice Tariq Mahmood Bajwa was extended by six months.

The JCP actively confirmed justices, reconstituted constitutional seats, and granted extensions earlier this year. The commission on Wednesday confirmed six additional judges of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) as permanent judges and also recommended a six-month extension for several additional judges.

Among the judges confirmed as permanent judges of the PHC are Justices Muhammad Tariq Afridi, Abdul Fayaz, Salahuddin, Sadiq Ali, Syed Mudassar Ameer and Qazi Jawad Ehsanullah.

The commission also granted six-month extension to four additional PHC judges – Justices Farah Jamshed, Inamullah Khan, Sabitullah Khan and Aurangzeb – according to the announcement issued after the meeting.

On Tuesday, the JCP recommended the confirmation of 10 additional judges of the Sindh High Court from a total list of 12, while also approving six-month extensions for two additional judges.
