Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left on Tuesday on an official visit to Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Conference 2026 from January 19-23.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is a non-governmental organization based in Switzerland that brings together leaders from politics, business, academia and culture to discuss global issues. The annual conference, held in Davos, serves as a platform for leaders and leaders from around the world to address economic challenges, global policies and innovative solutions.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema, Minister of Information Ataullah Tarar, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi and other senior officials.

The Prime Minister’s visit will include diplomatic and economic engagements, with several bilateral meetings planned with heads of state and government, as well as leaders of international organizations.

A key part of the visit will be the Business Roundtable, jointly hosted by Pakistan and the WEF, which will bring together executives from major global companies looking to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan or expand their existing investments.
