Harry and Meghan might be surprised to learn of their harsh critic Piers Morgan’s accident.
The California-based couple remains reluctant to react to the tragic news.
The 60-year-old was rushed to hospital after tripping on a short step in a London restaurant, fracturing his femur and requiring a hip replacement.
The British TV personality underwent surgery while Harry was present in the UK. However, the Duke is not expected to visit the ailing British TV presenter.
Morgan is known for criticizing Meghan and Harry and even sensationally quit Good Morning Britain (GMB) after speaking out against the former actress in 2021.
Some celebrities like Lorraine Kelly and Eamonn Holmes have shared their support for the TV presenter.
Taking to his official Instagram on Sunday (January 18), Morgan wrote that he “tripped on a small step inside a London hotel restaurant.”
At the hospital, Morgan learned the fall was so severe he needed a hip replacement. He is now recovering under expert care and will have to spend six long weeks on crutches.
He hilariously blamed the accident on the US president, writing: “The new year is off to a flying start! I blame Donald Trump.”
Taking to Instagram to share his condolences, Holmes, who underwent a double hip replacement in 2016, wrote: “Well, sincere sympathy my friend but I’m the expert on this…if you want advice or a visit! Lucozade and Raisins?”
Morgan’s injury was soon a topic of discussion on Good Morning Britain, with Susanna Reid, Ed Balls and Kate Garraway taking part. The trio wondered whether the former ITV presenter had been drinking before his injury.
In response, he shared a video of the discussion with his 2.5 million Instagram followers and wrote: “No alcohol was involved in the incident. »
