Avengers: ApocalypseMarvel’s opening sequence “is going to eclipse anything Marvel has ever done” and will make “people lose their minds.”
That’s according to industry insider John Campea, who sent fans into a frenzy over what he heard about the start of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie.
Speaking on the latest edition of his eponymous YouTube show, Campea claimed that someone close to the film’s production said that not only would it open with a major set piece, but it would also be the most action-packed Marvel film of all time.
“What this person told me is that the amount of action is going to dwarf anything Marvel has ever done alone,” Campea teased. “You never know how it’s actually going to play out on screen, but what they indicated to me is the amount and volume of action in this thing, when you talk in terms of screen minutes and scope, is going to blow away anything Marvel has ever done.”
Name deletion X-2: X-Men United And Batman v Supermanwhich Campea cited as two comic book films with his favorite opening numbers, he added: “I think the opening sequence of I have apocalypseit will eclipse them. It all depends on how it is executed. People are going to lose their minds. This movie starts with your foot in the ground and shoots you like a cannon out of the gate.”
It’s unclear whether Campea’s source told her what happens in the opening salvo of the Marvel Phase 6 film or if she was simply teasing its supposedly epic scale.
Regardless, over the past 24 hours, major details regarding this footage appear to have already leaked online. Unsurprisingly, the seemingly revealed information spread like wildfire on social media and fueled excitement among Marvel fans.

Indeed, of the four trailers revealed by Marvel so far, Avengers: ApocalypseThe X-Men teaser is the only one to include action-packed sequences. Granted, it’s only a blink-and-you’ll-miss moment when James Marsden’s Cyclops unleashes a signature optic blast near the end of a major battle. Still, if this little clip is from the curtain raiser for the next Avengers movie, it suggests that one of this year’s most exciting new films is going to pull out all the stops to outdo its comic book siblings in the action spectacle stakes.
