ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued comprehensive weather forecasts and warnings as a significant weather system is expected to bring widespread rain, thunderstorms and heavy snowfall across the country from January 22 to 23.
The weather system is forecast to affect several provinces including KP, Kashmir, GB, Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan.
The department particularly highlighted the risk of flash floods in local waterways and nullahs of upper KP, GB and Kashmir, as well as the possibility of landslides and avalanches in hilly areas during this period.
