High-level session in Davos focuses on family healthcare, technology solutions and inclusive development
Pathfinder Group organized a high-level focused session titled ‘Women’s Empowerment, Financial Inclusion and Family Healthcare’ at the Pakistan Pavilion during the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, a press release said on Thursday.
The session was moderated by Dr. Huma Baqai, Senior Vice President, Karachi Council on Foreign Relations (KCFR) and Rector, Millennium Institute of Technology Entrepreneurship (MiTE). Hend Alhinnawi, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Humanitarian Tracker, was the guest of honor.
The event brought together policy makers, development practitioners, academics and global experts, including Dr Ying Zhang, Founder and President of Singularity Academy, and Dr Salma Malik, Associate Professor of Defense and Strategic Studies at Quaid-i-Azam University.
On the occasion, Alhinnawi highlighted the humanitarian and global development aspect of women’s empowerment, with emphasis on data-driven solutions and accountability to achieve inclusive social results.
Dr. Ying spoke about innovation-driven entrepreneurship as a catalyst for women’s economic participation, while Dr. Malik presented a strategic perspective on women’s empowerment in national security and social stability frameworks.
