‘Rs 1.5 billion bailout package’ proposed for Urdu University

ISLAMABAD:

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary informed the Senate on Friday that a bailout package worth Rs 1.5 billion has been proposed to tackle the financial crisis faced by the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST).

Responding to a call for attention from Senator Sarmad Ali, the minister said the Prime Minister had earlier approved a similar bailout package for Quaid-e-Azam University. He said all financial problems of FUUAST would be resolved once the proposed bailout plan was approved.
