Prince Harry abandons his royal title in front of the judge?

Harry, the youngest son of King Charles III, made a surprise decision regarding his royal title during his latest appearance at the High Court in London.

The Duke was questioned about his royal titles as he took the stand in his trial against a British tabloid publisher on January 21. He testified for nearly two hours during the trial.

An interesting situation unfolded before his testimony as the Duke and his legal team discussed how he should be addressed in court.

David Sherborne called Harry to the witness box, as the first witness, referring to him by the title he received from Queen Elizabeth on his wedding day in 2018.

After Prince Harry, 41, vowed to tell the whole truth on a Bible, Sherborne said etiquette advised “being addressed as ‘Your Royal Highness’ and then ‘Sir’.”

Harry responded that he was happy with what was used last time, likely referring to his testimony in the 2023 phone hacking case against Mirror Group Logsbut added that he didn’t remember what it was.

“I’m thinking ‘Prince Harry,'” Sherborne said, so they decided on that.

Harry and the other plaintiffs’ complaint against ANL alleges that the publisher and its reporters used “illegal information gathering techniques” to delve into his personal life.

However, the editor countered that in some cases their journalists were part of Harry’s inner circle of friends.
