LAHORE:

Senior lawyers have challenged the leadership of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA), accusing it of issuing a misleading press release regarding proposed amendments to the bar rules and announcing protests if the elections were held through a biometric system.

Addressing a press conference, the lawyers said a general meeting was held at the High Court Bar on January 22, during which a resolution seeking amendments to the Bar Rules was moved but rejected by a majority of the members.
