Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, addressing participants of the Street Movement rally at Tarujabba, Nowshera, said the movement was a structured, peaceful and constitutional struggle against fascism, with no room for violence or disorder.
He said the PIT leadership had taught them the lesson of peaceful political struggle and they were fully committed to this principle, which is why not even a flower pot was broken throughout the movement.
The chief minister said that they were peaceful, remained peaceful and would continue to remain peaceful as the Constitution of Pakistan grants the right to peaceful protest, and added that they would exercise this constitutional right under all circumstances.
He clarified that the movement will reach its peak by February 8, with the aim of organizing and amplifying the public voice for the release of their unjustly imprisoned leader Imran Khan, and the future course of action will also be announced at this stage.
Later, while addressing the participants of the Street Movement rally at Pakistan Chowk in Mardan, in his concluding address, Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi expressed his sincere gratitude to the people of Peshawar, Nowshera and Mardan for their massive participation and warm welcome.
