The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks are the final two teams standing for the 2025 NFL season, who will face off at Levi’s Stadium on February 8 to determine who will take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy as Super Bowl LX champion.
As the debates begin over who has the
In fact, Hanson has another name for the final game of the season.

“I’ll tell you what: Super Bowl LX is the ‘Hope Bowl,'” he told PK Press Club Digital while also discussing his enthusiasm for Lowe’s “Earn Your Sunday Bucket Belt.” “This year’s Super Bowl is the ‘Hope Bowl,’ and that might sound weird.”
It may seem strange at first, but when you really look at these two teams that will play in Santa Clara, California, Hanson’s vision comes to life.
“Seahawks fans are at the top, Patriots fans are at the top. I’m not even talking to them right now,” he continued. “I talk to the other 30 NFL fans whose season ended in disappointment in the playoffs, or in disappointment in the final week of the regular season, or on Thanksgiving their team was away. There is hope, my friends, because we are about to see, on Super Bowl Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks, a non-playoff team from a year ago. The Seattle Seahawks, a team that was in the market for quarterbacks there a year ago. The Seattle Seahawks who have a second-year head coach who has never been a head coach before – they are playing in the biggest game in American sports.

When the Seahawks hired Mike Macdonald two years ago, he had not been a head coach in the NFL despite his defensive prowess under John Harbaugh with the Baltimore Ravens. But there was hope for Seattle when they went 10-7 in its inaugural season, even though they missed the playoffs.
To capitalize on this season, the Seahawks were quick to make trades, including a big one with the Las Vegas Raiders. Journeyman quarterback Geno Smith reunited with Pete Carroll in Sin City, while the Seahawks set their sights on the free agent market and Sam Darnold.
Hanson called Darnold the best “human interest story” in this game given his path to this moment in two weeks. But Darnold was clearly the right move by Macdonald, general manager John Schneider and the rest of the organization, leading Seattle to a 14-win season after doing the same with the Minnesota Vikings in 2024.

Unlike that season, which ended against the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card Round, Darnold got some redemption with a three-touchdown game to win the NFC conference and earn a spot in the “Big Game.”
On the other hand, Hanson sees even more hope for these fans, perhaps at the bottom of the rankings this year.
“We’re playing the New England Patriots, who were a four-win team a year ago. A four-win team two years ago,” he added. “They’ve completely hit the reset button at head coach, at quarterback, at so many other key positions, and they’re playing in the biggest game in American sports.”
Head coach Mike Vrabel arrived at his former franchise as a player and immediately helped turn things around. Sophomore quarterback Drake Maye emerged as an MVP finalist thanks to his season-long production, while Vrabel’s aggressive defensive nature carried over into this unit throughout the season.
While some say they had an easy path to the Super Bowl, the Patriots faced three of the league’s top five defenses, including two in games where snow played a significant role. The schedule may have been easier than others, but the Patriots beat who they were supposed to, reaching this height for the first time since Tom Brady’s days in Foxborough.
“No matter what team you support in the NFL, Super Bowl LX gives you hope that in 365 days you and I, Scott, will be talking here on Fox about ‘So-and-so versus so-and-so in the Super Bowl. Can you believe it?'” Hanson said.

“I think it’s a fantastic, inspiring game for the Super Bowl.”
As you watch Super Bowl LX, heed Hanson’s words: There is hope for your favorite team.
The Patriots and Seahawks are proof of that.
WIN YOUR SUPER BOWL SUNDAY WITH LOWE’S
Throughout the season, Lowe’s has found ways to help NFL fans “earn their Sundays,” and Hanson is very excited about their best way to participate in Super Bowl LX.
The “Earn Your Sunday Bucket Belt” looks like a regular tool belt that would go around a five-gallon Lowe’s bucket, but Hanson wants to see snacks, drinks, grilling tools and more for the Big Game.

Gameday essentials are being reimagined and Hanson thinks everyone should have one for February 8th.
“In theory, it’s for all your tools. But on Super Bowl Sunday, it’s the drinks, the snacks. The only tools are the grilling tools we want to see in there,” Hanson said. “Attach the bucket here, and you can fill it with ice for your favorite drinks. There are football giveaways and you’ll win your Super Bowl Sunday and enjoy Super Bowl LX Lowe’s style.”
The Bucket Belt can be purchased now exclusively for MyLowe’s Rewards and MyLowe’s Pro Rewards members.
