Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes admits he’s ‘fine’ with 3 kids at the moment after celebrating his latest birth

Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany welcomed their third child into the world earlier this week – a daughter, Golden Raye.

This is the third child in the Mahomes family, and the quarterback wondered if there were more children on the horizon.

“I’m good with three at the moment,” he told reporters on Tuesday. “Maybe we’ll see later, but my goal was always three, so we got three, and we’re going to sit there for a while and see if we have to come back and get another one later.”

The family already has two children – Bronze and Sterling. Mahomes opened up about how Brittany was doing after the birth of their newborn and how the other siblings were handling it.

“It’s been cool. I mean, I’m just supportive. Brittany crushed it,” he said. “It’s been cool to welcome another little girl into our family and see how my other kids react to her and having a little sissy and stuff like that. It’s been a lot of fun, and it’s was cool that football was on TV when I was in “

Mahomes added that he couldn’t say if it’s become easier to manage since Brittany has been handling the workload of managing the kids at home.

“I don’t even want to say that because Brittany does everything, so I’m just trying to be supportive,” he said. “No, it was cool that we had a week off just because you can really focus on being in the hospital and being in the moment.

“It’s a special moment that a lot of moms and dads have had, and you don’t forget things like that, so I’m happy I was able to be there and support as best I can.”

Mahomes must now focus on the task at hand on the field: defeating the Houston Texans and advancing to the AFC Championship for potentially the seventh straight time.
