Senate committee examines security at Islamabad airport

ISLAMABAD:

Senator Talha Mahmood, Chairman, Senate Standing Committee on Defence, and Senator Atta-ur-Rehman Darvesh visited the Islamabad International Airport on Wednesday, where they received detailed briefings on the airport’s operations, infrastructure and security.

During the briefing, the PAA Deputy DG provided an overview of airport operations, infrastructure development, management processes and major ongoing projects.

The CAA Deputy Director General highlighted regulatory issues, international aviation standards established by ICAO and key safety and security protocols.

PAA reaffirmed its commitment towards continuous improvement, sustainability and transformation of Islamabad International Airport into a world-class facility.
