ISLAMABAD:
Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday said that the Prime Minister’s Sehat Card has been launched in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), enabling all permanent residents to avail free health facilities.
The minister made these remarks during a meeting with the Provincial Health Minister and Information Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, during which the challenges faced by the ongoing health projects in Gilgit-Baltistan were discussed.
Kamal said the federal government is using all available resources to improve health services there, adding that there is need to improve the quality of services in hospitals registered under the Sehat Card program.
“I will soon visit these areas to personally review the health facilities provided under the health card,” the minister said, adding that the federal government had also provided three vehicles to Gilgit-Baltistan to support health services.
Gilgit-Baltistan ministers expressed gratitude to the Federal Health Minister for extending the Prime Minister’s Sehat Card facilities.
