How to watch the 2026 Sundance Film Festival online from anywhere

Organized by the Sundance Institute, founded by Robert Redford, the Sundance Film Festival is the largest independent film festival in the United States. It’s been around since 1978, giving newcomers and seasoned storytellers alike a launching pad for their independent films and a real chance to find distribution, rave reviews or, if you’re anything like A real painboth.

2026 marks the last time the Sundance Film Fest will be held in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah – its new home starting in 2027 will be Boulder, Colorado. However, you don’t necessarily have to go to the film festival in person. Since 2021, the Sundance Film Festival has offered an online program that allows Americans to view a few titles of their choice from the comfort of their home.
