As the Beckham family drama deepens, David Beckham has refrained from making a direct comment on the tensions.
However, the doting dad, who often playfully roasts his kids, sent a pointed message to his estranged son, Brooklyn, as he collaborated with his close friend Gordon Ramsay.
The famous British chef, who is going through some drama himself regarding his son-in-law Adam Peaty, has given an update.
David, a legendary former footballer, showed off one of his many talents: cooking. In a video clip, Gordon and David are seen on a video call during which David prepares scallop risotto.
“Usually when David Beckham calls it’s about football, but I was surprised when he was making one of my home chef recipes,” Gordon wrote on Instagram.
Before marrying Nicola Peltz, Brooklyn attempted to break out as a cook by sharing videos of himself preparing simple recipes. However, most of the time he was roasted and criticized for his skills, which were often described as mediocre.
While he continued to cook for a while, he seems to have abandoned this idea and modified it by selling his own hot sauce.
Fans in the comments were quick to note that this was a snub towards the 26-year-old.
“Discreet search in Brooklyn [crying laughing emoji]” the commenter wrote.
“Brutal-chef to chef-fuggg u Brooklyn,” said a second.
“Better than @brooklynpeltzbeckham”
However, not everyone was happy with the video.
One said: “If this was done to beat your son (which is what is being portrayed as such in the British newspapers)… then as a parent I find it distasteful. »
The update comes more than a week after Brooklyn made a series of shocking Instagram Stories posts about her family. He broke his silence on persistent rumors of a rift within the family and clearly stated that he “[does] I don’t want to reconcile with [his] family.”
He noted: “I am not being controlled, I am defending myself for the first time in my life. »
