Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Religious Harmony and PUC Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi said Pakistan was committed to fostering interfaith harmony, dialogue, peace and tolerance to ensure national unity.
In a message issued on Sunday to mark World Interfaith Harmony Week, celebrated from February 1 to 7, Ashrafi said interfaith harmony is vital for peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among different religions and communities. The Prime Minister’s coordinator said that Pakistan is a society enriched with religious, cultural, linguistic and ethnic diversity, which must be protected through dialogue and understanding.
