New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye opened up about his marriage during the opening night of Super Bowl LX on Monday.
Maye, the 23-year-old Patriots star who has been married to his wife Ann Michael since June, said he would advise all of his teammates to get married at some point in their lives.

“My teammates have the right to do whatever they want,” he said. “I would definitely advise them to get married one day. It’s one of the best things in life. It’s one of the best things I’ve experienced in my life. There’s no better feeling than coming home to a woman who loves you, who cares for you, and who has your best interests in mind.
“I know my teammates, some of them are going through different parts of their lives at what stages. But I chose to get married young and I don’t regret it at all.”
Drake and Ann Michael Maye have been together since 2015 and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He missed head coach Mike Vrabel’s introductory press conference in January 2025 to pop the question to his longtime girlfriend.

Since then, Ann Michael has become the darling of Patriots fans due to her relationship with the NFL MVP candidate. She has become a popular baker thanks to the treats she gives her husband on game days and during holidays.
One of the biggest events in the Maye household that attracted social media attention was the “Bakemas” during the Christmas period. The Patriots star was also asked to rank his “Bakemas” treats.
“Cinnamon Snickerdoodle, she just made them for the O-line this week,” Maye said with a smile. “He’s my number 1.”
He added: “Puppy chow, I’m going to put puppy chow number 3. Pistachio bread, I think it’s good. I’m not a fan, [so] I would put that at four. The copycat crumble sugar cookie? Yeah, put that at #2. »
