The New England Patriots find themselves in the Super Bowl for the first time since the Tom Brady era in Foxborough, and it’s been quite a turnaround for the franchise that has won just four games in consecutive seasons before 2025.
But, while Brady spent 20 seasons leading the Patriots as quarterback, he is now a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, while also serving as a FOX Sports announcer during the season.
So, does Brady still support his old team?

“I don’t have a dog in the fight in this one,” Brady said on his “Let’s Go” podcast, released Monday night. “May the best team win.”
Brady’s neutral response makes sense, but he has positive words for his former teammate, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, and what the team was able to do in his first year back in Foxborough.
“And as far as the Patriots are concerned, it’s a new chapter in New England, and I’m happy that everyone has embraced Mike Vrabel’s regime. All the incredible players who have worked so hard to get their club to this position. We did it for 20 years. There was a little hiatus in that, but the Patriots are back, and it’s a very exciting time for everyone in New England.”

Even if Brady’s professional loyalties lie elsewhere, it’s hard to imagine someone with a statue outside Gillette Stadium not being intrigued to see if he can get that first Super Bowl ring without him on the sideline. He also made sure to mention that those who believe he doesn’t want the Patriots to win a ring without him were “idiots” for thinking such a thing.
Meanwhile, some of Brady’s former teammates with the Patriots weren’t shy about their loyalties ahead of Super Bowl LX between the Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, including Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman.

Brady, however, wants to build on good individual performances.
“You support people and you want them to perform great,” he said. “Even as a broadcaster, when you’re up there, [of] representing what people are watching – and I’m not working on this particular game – I just want to see good football. I want to see good plays, good throws, good strategy, good decisions, and that’s the joy of the game for me.”
Brady will be with the FOX Sports team in Santa Clara for FOX’s pregame coverage of Super Bowl LX, although the game will be broadcast on NBC.
As the world watches what happens at Levi’s Stadium this Sunday, Brady may be taking a closer look at the Seahawks’ offensive game plan given their head coach situation.

It was reported that Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak would fill the vacant Raiders head coaching position, but he was only able to make it official after the game. Kubiak has been one of the game’s brightest offensive minds, reuniting with quarterback Sam Darnold after their stint with the San Francisco 49ers, while making Jaxon Smith-Njigba the league’s best receiver in 2025.
The Raiders also have an exciting offseason coming up, especially with the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft expected to be used on Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
