The Deputy Commissioner (DC) office of Lahore has imposed a strict ban on Basant-related activities near the airport’s flight paths.
A meeting was held at DC Office Lahore to review measures to prevent Basant festivities near airports, in the presence of PAA officials. The meeting agreed to implement a zero tolerance policy for kite flying around airport areas.
The district administration commended the PAA for its efforts in safeguarding aviation operations, while stakeholders stressed the need for effective and sustainable collaboration to maintain aviation safety in the long term.
Authorities have warned that any violation of the ban could result in strict legal action, stressing the importance of keeping flight paths clear during the Basant festival.
