We’re certainly only a few weeks away from the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 family, with the next Galaxy Unpacked likely happening on February 25.
Yet despite being one of the biggest phone launches of the year, given Samsung’s position in the phone market and as a maker of the best phones, the hype doesn’t seem to be there this year.
When I recently asked readers if they were excited about the Samsung Galaxy S26, 70% of respondents said they weren’t excited about the much-talked-about new phones, with comments pointing out that there’s not much to get excited about given the iterative nature of the phones and the lack of upgrades for the next-generation Galaxy models.
Do you want big camera upgrades? This might be difficult, given that the Galaxy S25 Ultra is one of the best camera phones on the market.
A new chipset is almost guaranteed for the Galaxy S26 lineup, but that might not be enough to shake things up. So, what type of show would you like to see?

There are many possibilities when you free your mind from the rumor mill. Now, much of the above might be wishful thinking, and we may just have to accept an iterative generation of Samsung phones.
