American skier Lindsey Vonn provided a lengthy update after her fall during the women’s alpine ski downhill at the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Games resulted in a broken leg on Sunday.

Vonn, 41, was already skiing with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, but she needed to be airlifted from the mountain in a frightening scene. She posted on her Instagram on Monday, saying her “Olympic dream didn’t end the way I dreamed it would.”
