World-renowned Pakistani Tekken star Arslan Siddique, better known as Arslan Ash, has moved to Japan to compete and train at the highest level of professional esports, saying the relocation marks a “new chapter” in his career.

On Instagram, Ash said he moved to Japan to establish himself as one of the best players in the world while continuing to compete internationally, adding that he will always represent Pakistan on the world stage.

“Careers in esports are short, so I do my best,” he added.

Ash is from Lahore and won international Tekken competitions after learning to play at the age of eight in arcades across the country.

Earlier in August, Ash added another feather to his cap by winning his sixth Evolution Championship Series (EVO) title at EVO 2025 in Las Vegas.

Representing Twisted Minds, Ash defeated fellow Pakistani Atif Butt to win the Tekken 8 grand final.

The Lahore-based player previously won the Tekken 7 title in Japan in 2019 and then won the Evolution Championship Series in the United States. In August 2022, he achieved third place at EVO 2022. He then triumphed in the Tekken 7 competition at EVO Japan in April 2023 and won his fifth EVO crown in July 2024.

He is considered by many to be the greatest Tekken player of all time. He was also awarded the Best E-Player of 2019 by ESPN.

Ash is also the 2021 CEO Champion and the winner of the 2022 Combo Breaker Tekken 7 tournament, where he won the title after defeating all 10 of his opponents.
