The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) successfully conducted Exercise Golden Eagle in the Southern Air Command’s area of responsibility, the Army’s Media Affairs Wing announced on Tuesday.

In a statement, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the exercise aimed to validate combat readiness and operational agility through synchronized utilization of the entire combat potential of the PAF.

“The exercise was conducted under a dual-force construct, focusing on AI-enabled network-centric operations while integrating indigenous, disruptive and intelligent niche technologies, in line with evolving regional security dynamics,” the statement read.

The Army’s media wing said that operating within a robust integrated air defense system, friendly forces have shaped the battlespace through a seamless fusion of kinetic operations with cyber, space and electromagnetic spectrum operations.

The kinetic phase comprised “First-Shoot, First-Kill” multi-role combat aircraft equipped with long-range BVR air-to-air missiles, long-range stand-off weapons and precision strike capabilities, supported by airborne early warning and control platforms and air-to-air tankers, the statement added.

The ISPR further said that one of the highlights of the exercise was the manned-unmanned combination, with deep-range killer drones and roaming munitions operating in a highly contested, cluttered and degraded environment, validating the PAF’s capability to conduct high-tempo operations in modern warfare.

The exercise was executed under the unified command and control of the New Generation All Domain Command and Control Center at Air Headquarters, Islamabad.

The successful conduct of Exercise Golden Eagle reaffirms the PAF’s unwavering commitment to maintaining a high state of operational readiness, leveraging local innovation and effectively countering emerging and future security challenges, the statement read.
