Chris Hemsworth fans are excited as the release of his new film Crime 101 approaches.
The action thriller stars the 42-year-old as a jewel thief alongside Mark Ruffalo, who plays a detective and does everything possible to capture him.
Crime 101 is considered an adult film because it is said to feature “typical old school” action.
According to the Thor actor, he hopes that the upcoming Bart Layton-directed film will do well in theaters because he thinks adult crime thrillers work well in theaters.
Speaking with Discussing Films, Chris said: “In a big sort of franchise flagship films that we both know, we’ve inhabited that space for many years.”
“I’m incredibly grateful, because in a time where social media and other media are growing and spreading anything,” he continued.
Extraction The star further explained, “It made people come to the cinema and now I think there’s a renewed appetite for films like this because there’s nothing like sitting in a cinema with a group of strangers with a big box of popcorn.”
Crime 101, in addition to starring Chris and Mark, it also stars Barry Keoghan, Halle Berry and Monica Barbaro. The film is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on February 13.
