RAWALPINDI:
Security forces managed to neutralize 22 terrorists, while injuring 18 others during various Intelligence Based Operations (IBO) carried out since December 14 last year in Tirah general area, Khyber district.
“Of late, many terrorist incidents have occurred in the general area of Tirah, Khyber district, against security forces as well as innocent civilians, resulting in several casualties,” according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations ( ISPR).
In response to these heinous acts, security forces are carrying out extensive intelligence-based operations (IBO) in the region against the Khwarij.
“IBOs will continue until peace in the region is restored and khawrij are eliminated, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism from the country,” he added.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari praised security forces for killing 22 Khawarij terrorists during operations in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
The President, in a press statement, praised the security forces for eliminating terrorists during intelligence operations in Khyber district.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the security forces for successfully carrying out intelligence operations against Fitna-al-Khawarij in Tirah, Khyber district since December 14, 2024.
