An engine of a goods train traveling from Karachi to Lahore overturned near Harappa railway station in Sahiwal on Saturday, derailing several bogies loaded with goods.
According to some reports, a brake failure caused the engine to overturn, leading to its complete destruction.
Between 10 and 12 cargo bogies were derailed.
In the accident, one of the drivers survived while the other was slightly injured.
The driver applied the brakes and attempted to stop the train by diverting it towards the emergency track.
