Opposition MPs vow to continue sit-in until jailed PTI leader transferred for treatment
ISLAMABAD:
Opposition lawmakers’ sit-in outside Parliament and KP House entered its third day on Sunday, as protesters demanded that jailed PTI founder Imran Khan be given urgent medical treatment for his eye problem. The demonstration began on Friday and continued despite government assurances.
The lawmakers, led by Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Opposition Leader in the Senate Allama Nasir Abbas, vowed that the sit-in would not end until Khan was transferred to specialized care. Protesters cited reports that his vision in his right eye had deteriorated significantly and demanded treatment in the presence of his family and personal doctors.
Police deployed barbed wire and blocked access routes to the KP House, and media personnel were not allowed to enter protest sites. Unionists said provisions such as food and water were limited for lawmakers inside Parliament.

The sit-in gained momentum amid growing concerns about Khan’s health. The PTI expressed deep concern over reports that he might be shifted to hospital without informing his family, terming such acts a violation of legal procedures and human rights. His sister, Aleema Khan, confirmed a brief call arranged between Khan and his sons and reiterated calls for his immediate transfer to a hospital staffed by trained specialists.
On Saturday, government officials said they had decided to transfer Khan to hospital and form a medical board to oversee his care, and that other eye treatments would be carried out by specialists, with a detailed report to be submitted to the Supreme Court. The PTI, however, rejected any transfer without the consent of family members and personal doctors.

We do not accept ANY medical advice that they put in place and control!
We do not accept ANY reports or results that they…
