Popular American rapper JID, whose real name is Destin Choice Route, is very excited to be featured on Jill Scott’s latest album.
Shortly after, Scott, 53, released his sixth studio album, titled Who it may concernon February 13, the 35-year-old musician took to his Instagram Stories to express his excitement over their collaboration.
On the three-time Grammy winner’s 19-track project, the duo composed a song together, titled To honest B.
“Nahhhhh, wait!!!! Mrs. Jilly and J.ID, I’m going to lose my mind!!!” the Atlanta born and raised artist wrote over a screenshot of the lyrics. “She is my whole heart!!!!@missjillscott.”
“Let me be [red heart, crown and strong emoji]“, he added.
Although JID is not yet a household name among the general public, he is very popular within the hip-hop community, widely recognized as a premier lyricist and one of the best of his generation.
Interestingly, Who it may concern marked Scott’s return to the music scene as it was his first full-length project in over a decade.
The R&B star gave her long-suffering fans the news they’ve been waiting for, the announcement of new music, via a social media post on January 2.
