The NBA All-Star break didn’t end well for Charlotte Hornets star guard LaMelo Ball. He crashed his custom Hummer in town on Wednesday.

Video footage obtained by WSOC-TV captured the moment Ball’s vehicle struck a gray sedan heading straight as he attempted to turn left.

Ball’s Hummer, wrapped in a camouflage pattern, continued to drive slowly while the sedan remained in frame of the video. Both vehicles were clearly damaged.

The Hummer lost the driver’s front wheel in the crash and the Kia suffered considerable front-end damage.

Ball exited his vehicle with no apparent injuries, while the condition of the sedan driver is unknown.

Ball remained at the scene of the accident while both vehicles were towed. WSOC-TV reported that he was gone when someone in a Lamborghini came looking for him.

Ball’s custom Hummer won’t be cheap to fix.

Dreamworks Motorsports has been hard at work on Ball’s 2022 Hummer EV Edition 1, adding large custom wheels with orange rims that say “1 of 1” inside.

The design replicates his iconic Puma basketball shoe.

It’s a vehicle that Ball has used frequently at Charlotte since Dreamworks Motorsports finished it for him.

He will have to return to the body shop for some work after the accident.

The Hornets return to play the second half of the NBA season on Thursday, taking on the Houston Rockets at home.
