The interaction led to Caldwell being fired from his job at a New Jersey consulting firm. He was also reportedly banned from attending games at Lincoln Financial Field.

Social media praised the decision by Caldwell’s former employer and sympathized with Basara and Keller. However, as the story continued to unfold this week, several people on social media began accusing Basara of seeking such interaction in order to record content.

In a GoFundMe campaign set up by Basara, he is asking his supporters to help send him to the game.

“If you didn’t know, I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and actually 1 hour from the Eagles Stadium. So I’m asking you, the fans…send me to Philly. Send me to the belly of the beast “I’ve done it many times representing the Packers with pride, and I’m more than ready to do it again,” he wrote.

“I’ve had people swear at me, have things thrown at me, and even had my very first cheesehead ripped off my head and thrown in a trash can while I was supporting my team in Philadelphia. But I’m sure I didn’t not afraid to start again.”

According to Basara’s account on X, he describes himself as a “daily Packers content creator” and runs a YouTube account.

In response to the video and the GoFundMe campaign, social media users denounced Basara.

“Influencers do things on purpose to go viral,” former “America’s Next Top Model” winner Adrianne Curry said in an article on X. “He knew it would happen, so he allowed his daughter to serve as piñata for aggressive drunk men at a sporting event to film… all to go viral thanks to clicks and likes.

Basara responded to Curry’s post by denying the allegation, saying he was blogging about a normal game day experience.

“Maybe you should try not to talk about things you have no idea about. I was there and I was doing a NORMAL GameDay vlog, just like I did in Green Bay last month. I wanted to show NORMAL jokes from Eagles fans, which 99% of the time we got it,” his post read. “Then this guy didn’t stop, and it just got worse. Way to defend a PoS, whatever your argument here…”

The two exchanged exchanges and Basara accused Curry of “blaming the victim.”

However, Curry wasn’t alone.

“Grow up bro, you knew what it was going to be like,” one person wrote on X.

“You are a Packers content creator who entered the stadium with a full body camera. I think you were looking for something like this to happen,” another posted. “Your wife didn’t deserve this and she didn’t deserve to not be stuck either.”

Basara denied the accusation on social media. He did not immediately respond to PK Press Club Digital’s request for comment.
