Harry Potter fame Daniel Radcliffe has shared his thoughts on the next generation that will power the upcoming HBO series.
Daniel played the lead role in the popular film series based on the novel by JK Rowling.
The films also starred Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley and Emma Watson as Hermoine Granger.
The popular wizarding world franchise is being converted into an HBO-backed television series starring a generation of actors.
Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Tout and Arabella Stanton have become the new Harry, Ron and Hermoine.
While sharing his feelings about the new generation of actors playing the iconic roles, Radcliffe said: “how surreal it is. [it is] to see people starting this journey, all these years later.”
He said PEOPLE, “We all said, you know, you just see pictures of these kids and you just want to grab them and hug them.
“That’s the impulse that I think we all have,” Daniel said while adding that he can understand how OG Harry Potter fans must feel, because they feel it too.
After looking at the casting announcement photos, the Now you see me The actor explained, “It’s one of those where I think we all know how other people feel, because we feel it too.”
The Harry Potter TV series is expected to premiere in early 2027.
