We know the Powerbeats Pro 2 exist (after numerous leaks in September of last year), and we almost know they’ll launch in 2025. And now it looks like the launch is imminent, which means we could being just a few weeks away from receiving them in our ears.
As reported by 91Mobiles, Apple has filed regulatory documents for its new headphones with numerous official bodies. This is something Apple tends to do right before its new products go on sale.
You can usually glean some interesting details from official documents, and the documentation that comes with the Powerbeats Pro 2 is no different.
What do we know about the Powerbeats Pro 2?
According to the US FCC filing, the Powerbeats Pro 2 work with both iOS and Android, feature Bluetooth Low Energy, and don’t have simulcast capability, which may mean you won’t be able to connect on several devices at the same time. .
We’ve already gleaned a few other details, thanks to these Apple teasers of the new buds in late 2024. The design is similar to the current model but it has evolved, with more rounded edges and a more modern look.
The main section is noticeably thinner and appears to be a little more angled. And thin is good, because it probably means better comfort and less weight. Based on the details found in the code for iOS, we expect black, beige, purple, and orange color options.
