Amazon shuts down ambitious racing game project from former Forza Horizon developers, but highlights ‘flexibility’ to find more suitable publisher

Amazon continues to scale back its gaming efforts as it ends its partnership with Maverick Games, a UK-based studio run by former Playground Games and Sumo Digital employees that is developing an open-world driving title.

As reported by The Game Business, the studio, whose staff includes former Forza Horizon creative manager Mike Brown, was fired by publisher Amazon Game Studios.
