DUBAI: UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan observed iftar at Dubai Mall alongside senior officials including Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The iftar was held at the mall premises in the presence of members of the UAE leadership, highlighting a message of unity, stability and resilience.

The rally took place amid regional tensions, with officials repeatedly saying the country remained safe and secure.

A video circulating on social media showed the executives moving around the venue, where shoppers gathered and waved at them as they passed.

Many visitors seemed surprised to see the UAE leaders there.

In a widely shared moment, a visitor from Ghana expressed his excitement after meeting the president, calling the meeting memorable. The President exchanged brief words with him and wished him a pleasant stay.

The presence of the public attracted attention inside this busy shopping destination, often described as one of the largest shopping centers in the world.
