ISLAMABAD:
The Senate Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination began a detailed review Tuesday of a private member’s bill to ban the use of vaping.
The members appreciated the intention and efforts behind the proposed bill – the Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (Regulation) Bill, 2025 – and held an in-depth discussion on its various provisions.
The ministry briefed the committee on the objections raised by stakeholders and proposed a complete ban on the use of vapes, citing concerns that such devices could facilitate drug poisoning.
