Aaron Rodgers appeared to criticize FBI Director Kash Patel for partying with the US men’s hockey team in their locker room at the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. Rodgers did not directly refer to Patel by name or title.

Rodgers apparently referenced Patel during Wednesday’s episode of “The Pat McAfee Show” on ESPN, while discussing the team and its celebration after beating Team Canada in the gold medal game.

“Can we get this guy out of the locker room and work on something else though? That’s a bad idea. Come on, be aware,” Rodgers said.

PK Press Club Digital has reached out to the FBI National Press Office for comment.

Patel responded to criticism of his visit to the Olympics after Rep. Seth Moulton, Democrat of Mass., claimed Patel didn’t love his country following the trip and viral images of Patel partying with the hockey team.

“For the very concerned media – yes, I love America and was extremely touched when my friends, the new gold medalists of Team USA, invited me into the locker room to celebrate this historic moment with the boys – the greatest country in the world and the greatest sport in the world,” Patel wrote on X on February 22.

Patel spokesman Ben Williamson responded to a CBS News report that Patel used an FBI plane to fly to the Olympics.

“No, this is not a personal trip. Director Patel is taking a trip planned months ago. It includes: partner meetings with Italian law enforcement and security officials (they invited the director last July), a meeting with Ambassador Fertitta (as a follow-up to our law enforcement roundtable he hosted in January), meetings with Legat staff, and more,” Williamson wrote on X on February 19.

“The FBI also plays a major role in Olympic security – as we do with the World Cup, F1 and more – so we are hosting a US Consulate briefing on Olympic security and the FBI’s current position, as well as to thank FBI personnel on the ground.”
