Dar expresses solidarity with UAE

ISLAMABAD:

Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday held talks with his UAE counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. “The two leaders exchanged views on the developing regional situation and stressed the importance of peace and stability,” the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said in a press release.

The foreign minister expressed concern over recent attacks in the region, including those against the UAE, and expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the UAE and its people. Dar also spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. During the conversation, they discussed the developments in the regional situation. The two leaders also exchanged views on recent developments and agreed to stay in touch.

In a telephone conversation with Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, Dar exchanged views on the regional situation. Both sides stressed the importance of de-escalation and emphasized dialogue and cooperation for peace and stability in the region.
