Prince William and Princess Kate have made it clear to the royal family that they are distancing themselves from the daughters of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson.
The future king and queen plan to lead the royal family with a focus on accountability and transparency during their reign.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who were mentioned in shocking emails about the Epstein files, have lost their royal connections, as have their parents.
Despite Andrew’s fallout, the sisters were invited by King Charles to celebrate Christmas last year with the royal family at Sandringham.
But the Daily Mail reported that William and Catherine did not give Beatrice and Eugenie any gifts at the royal gathering.
The source shared: “There were notably no presents under the Sandringham tree. [this year] for William and Kate’s Beatrice and Eugenie – something everyone pretended not to notice. »
Several royal commentators have confirmed that William and Catherine kept the York sisters at arm’s length.
“William and Kate were apparently polite but distant,” a source said.
Emily Nash said that, like William, the Princess of Wales, “is very aware of public opinion and the risk this scandal poses to the reputation of the monarchy”.
In order to save the business, Prince William and Princess Kate want to move forward with trouble-free royals.
