James Middleton has shared the surprisingly simple ritual that makes his marriage to Alizée Thévenet run smoothly.
The Princess of Wales’ brother revealed that their shared love of jogging became the couple’s solution to resolving disagreements and reconnecting.
“One of my first dates with Alizée was a country run with the dogs,” James told Country Life.
“To my surprise, I bought him a pair of Inov8 running shoes, one of my favorites in the Lake District.
Since then, we’ve continued the tradition, running together at least once a week in matching sneakers.
James explained that the routine does more than just keep them in shape: “It’s our shared ritual, and if we’ve had an argument, a run together usually puts everything back in order by the time we get home.” »
He even joked that his sister Kate might benefit from trying it herself.
The couple first met in 2018 at a private club in London.
