Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai could earn up to $692 million over the next three years thanks to a new compensation plan disclosed by the company in an SEC filing.
“There is no change to Mr. Pichai’s annual salary of [$2 million]”, the statement said, adding that this remains unchanged since 2020 and that Pichai is also not eligible for other bonuses.
However, the company’s board of directors approved a separate performance- and time-based stock grant cycle, renewed every three years, and worth far more than his salary.

In addition to Alphabet’s performance stock units (PSUs) and restricted stock units (GSUs), Pichai’s compensation will also include betting performance units (BPUs) tied to Waymo ($130 million) and Wing ($45 million). In total, Pichai is expected to receive a hefty compensation of $692 million over three years, worth more than $230 million per year.
This news comes after a rather healthy period for Google, with its stock price up 77% in 12 months. But it’s not the only company to give its executive a pay raise, as Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang could also receive $4 million following his revenue success.
This would be part of a new variable compensation plan approved earlier in March, according to PK Press Clubbut this would only represent less than 10% of his total annual remuneration.
After selling approximately six million shares of Nvidia stock in 2025, Huang instantly earned $925 million. He also owns about 3.5% of the company, giving him a net worth of about $150 billion. Huang is currently the 10th richest individual in the world, according to Bloomberg report.
As for Nvidia, the company reported a 65% increase in full-year revenue to $215.9 billion, but while the stock price is up 65% in 12 months, it has been more or less flat over the past six months.
