Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley beat Los Angeles Rams linebacker Jared Verse on his way to a 62-yard touchdown in the first quarter of their playoff game.
The touchdown seemed very soft as Verse was unable to pursue Barkley. The Pro Bowl rookie took a shot at Eagles fans before the game.

“I hate Eagles fans. They’re so boring,” he said earlier in the week. “When I see this green and white, I hate it. I actually get angry. I actually get really hot.”
Barkley questioned the timing of Verse’s remarks.
“That’s probably not the smartest thing to say when you come to Philadelphia,” he said via ESPN. “I was on the other side [as a member of the New York Giants] and even if I felt something, I probably wouldn’t give them extra fuel. I’m pretty sure Philadelphia fans saw this comment. It was already going to be loud and rockin’, so that’s just going to add up.”

Verse was the subject of jeers from fans at Lincoln Financial Field as the Rams prepared for the divisional round game. His remarks were even broadcast on the Lincoln Financial Field video board at the start of the game.
Barkley’s touchdown gave Philadelphia a 13-7 lead with 1:07 left in the first quarter.

The run came after quarterback Jalen Hurts galloped for a 44-yard touchdown to start the game.
